After wavering for a bit I’ve decided to back Lobodestroyo on Kickstarter. It’s a Banjo-Kazooie style 90’s 3D platformer game in spirit. In my opinion, 8-bit pixel nostalgia games are way, way overrepresented all over the place, and it’s great to see some throwbacks to other classic gaming eras for once.
Unfortunately, Lobo’s backing totals are lagging. But they’ve recently moved the Wii U stretch goal down so that it is one of the “launch” platforms. In other words, if the initial goal is reached, it’s coming to Wii U, no extra funding needed. That’s what I was waiting for as it’s really the only platform I would play it on. Now I’m personally invested in seeing it funded.
There’s a lot of cool ideas in there and some nice looking character designs, as well as being a spiritual successor to the great N64 3D platformers. You know, the ones that aren’t Super Mario 64.
Anyway I know I have a small audience here but consider helping these guys out. http://kck.st/1eEcTJb
