A love letter to Banjo-Kazooie will get my attention, even if it’s written a little clumsily.

This is a game that could only work on the Wii U. It’s a cool experiment!

Toki Tori 2 is perhaps slightly less ruthlessly difficult than its predecessor, and expands the puzzling out into a large immersive world. It’s a very nice sequel!

Unlike many Lego games, this one has dinosaurs. In most other ways it’s pretty similar.

Konjak’s first commercial game is his first sequel, to his first completed game. Its unique control scheme sets it apart, and Sandberg’s animation prowess as of 2008 has resulted in a fantastic-looking game too!

I backed this on Kickstarter back in 2013; it’s about time I played it eh?

Hot off the heels of MSF (not that one, the other one), this sequel is more of the same with some fun new puzzley tweaks.

In a pause between Shantae: Risky’s Revenge and Half-Genie Hero, I played this instalment of WayForward’s loose “Mighty” series of puzzle-platformers. It’s brief but good.

Another day, another Lego game played by my spouse and I. I like the superhero ones for the bombastic powers and expansive hubs you can fly around, not to mention the vast cavalcade of whacky characters to discover. I don’t have any particular care for the content but we still had a good time.

To kick off a spree of dolphin games, mostly happening on my streams this week (check it out live at twitch.tv/miloscatter or the archives at www.youtube.com/user/Wiseguy934/videos !!) I caught up with this charming Wii U exclusive. It’s a simple little thing, but addictive and fun while it lasts.

Playing some Megaman games is the perfect segue into Mighty No. 9, the spiritual successor that I backed and has been sitting on my Wii U hard drive for four years… oops.

Let’s make this quick. BotW is good, yes, but I have criticisms. There’s clunky systems, not enough variety in content such as enemy types, and a frustratingly underdeveloped plot. That didn’t stop me playing it for a month straight and loving every minute, though.

I enjoyed the previous game to this… they both have awkward names so I’ll call them SASASR and SAASRT. No, how about Sega Racing 1 and 2. “Sonic and Sega” and “Sonic and Whatever”. Let’s workshop that one.
